Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is copywriting?

Copywriting is simply writing the text (or copy) on websites, in advertising, emails, flyers, brochures, documents and more.  The not-so-simple part is making sure it sounds good, looks good and delivers the intended message.

Where are you based?

I’m based in the beautiful Northern Rivers Region of NSW. But I can still work with you wherever you’re based. We can chat in person, via Zoom, phone or email.

Do we have to meet in person?

I’d love to chat over a cuppa and hear your story. We can meet face-to-face at your favourite coffee shop if you’re based in my area, or virtually (e.g. Zoom) from wherever you are at a time that suits – whatever works for you. A phone call will also work.

EDITING AND PROOFREADING - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

EDITING makes sure your ideas are presented to your reader as clearly as possible by revising how the content looks, sounds and is organised. An Editor will check the content to make sure it matches your particular style, tone and voice.

PROOFREADING is the last stage of the writing process – fixing spelling, grammar and typos and checking for consistency. A Proofreader focuses on the small details to ensure your whole copy is error-free before you publish, print or post!

You haven’t included any prices with your services. What do you charge?

Every client and every project is different. I’ll work out a package to suit your specific needs and budget, and provide full details in a quote. I generally charge by the project, based on how long I think it will take me to complete it. You’ll find that my rates reflect my passion to support small business, and they are based on current Australian copywriters’ rates.

Do you work on retainers?

Yes, if we are both happy with the project and our working relationship.

Where can I find examples of your feature articles?

Go to the My Work page for examples of feature articles, fiction and more that I’ve written.
