Looking to escape into an experience that makes you see the world differently? Step into the dark at Brisbane Festival\u2019s Lightscape<\/em> where you\u2019ll have no choice but to feel illuminated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Described as \u201can after-dark wonderland of light, colour and sound\u201d (www.brisbanefestival.com.au\/whats-on\/2024\/lightscape<\/a>) Lightscape\u2019s<\/em> immersive 1.8km winding trail showcases Brisbane\u2019s City Botanic Gardens in, dare I say it, a new light. There, I\u2019ve gone and used a clich\u00e9 because there really are no better words.<\/p>\n

Enter the Winter Cathedral\u2019s arches to the soft oohhs and aahhs of other visitors. Just one type of small, flower-shaped light features here, but tens of 1000s of them together create a beautiful softly-lit \u2018tunnel of love\u2019 \u2014 you\u2019ll feel delightfully compelled to pose for a selfie with your partner, just like everyone else.<\/p>\n

Look up to larger-than-life flowers in pinks, reds and blues that you and Miley Cyrus just want to buy for yourself. Dance in the moonlight as a rainbow-coloured kaleidoscope of light illuminates the towering canopy of a banyan tree, with its glow leaving you feeling happy, and indeed ready to dance.<\/p>\n

Lights in long strings, lights in wide fields, lights in ever-changing colours and geometrical shapes \u2014 to wander through and gaze at \u2014 reveal a very different perspective of the Gardens\u2019 vegetation, grassy slopes and winding paths. Palm trees and rainforest plants are transformed with a mix of soft and bright spotlights that create weird shapes and shadows. Your eye will be drawn to forms and features often neglected in the light of day.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Brisbane\u2019s\u00a0Lightscape\u00a0<\/em>features First Nations artistry. Fire, smoke, music and voice add to the stories of the installations, while the lights of Brisbane City watch over but never intrude. The 90 minute journey has something different to show you around each corner. There truly are illuminating moments of wonder to enjoy, long after the lights have dimmed.<\/p>\n

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) are a fantastic tool for gaining a better Google ranking, because Google values a website that provides someone with all the information needed to make an educated decision.  And, FAQs take the pressure off the business owner having to repeatedly<\/em> answer client questions (you know what I mean, right?). They also help educate the market about what your product or service can do and why yours is better<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why are FAQs important?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAQs are an essential selling tool because these questions are the very same ones your target market is asking in their own head. If the business owner (you!) cannot answer these for the customer, the customer will go elsewhere to a company that can. It is psychologically proven that if we have unanswered questions about a product (e.g. how much is it, is there a money back guarantee etc.), we cannot process through the mental steps required to feel confident in purchasing the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few tips on how to write a powerful FAQ quickly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Write out the top 20 or 30 questions you often get asked by people who are considering buying from you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start with the basics, no matter how obvious or ordinary they may seem. For example, if I was writing copy for a florist, I would write down the most mundane questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Can I order online?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Do you offer free delivery?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Can I add chocolates or gifts to my order?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf What is the minimum purchase?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would then follow that up with more detailed questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf What if the flowers I order are not fresh?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Do you offer a money back guarantee?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf How long does it take to get my flowers delivered?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Do you belong to an accredited floristry organisation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Answer the questions.<\/strong> Then, you simply write out the answers in the most elegant, persuasive and concise way you can. This now becomes your FAQ. Easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few more reasons why writing an FAQ in this way makes sense:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. It provides you with the raw material for the rest of your copy.<\/strong> I always start out with the FAQ because it helps me understand my client\u2019s product better and it also becomes the foundation for all the other copy on the website or brochure. With a bit of tweaking, cutting and pasting, and re-writing, I can use what I have already written for other pages. This is a very time efficient and productive way of writing copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. They are easy to read.<\/strong> Everyone loves a Q and A because they help us get answers to questions we need answered. Not everyone needs every question answered but having a clearly laid out, well written FAQ means readers can scan quickly through the text and find what they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. It helps you show online customers you care about their experience.<\/strong> Taking the time to put yourself in the customer\u2019s shoes means that you can pinpoint then respond to their real needs and queries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
